Cloud and infrastructure · Primary cloud route

Plan AWS around the work your organisation needs done.

AWS is Afrisol’s default platform for cloud infrastructure, custom applications and managed operations. Start with the workload, location, security and recovery needs; then design the smallest service set that fits.

Start with your outcome

Which workload are you planning?

Use these routes to frame the discussion. The service names are examples; they are not a promise that an Afrisol offer is currently available to order.

A new application or website

Choose the simplest suitable compute option, then scope database, storage, delivery and operations around the application.

An existing application to move

Map dependencies, data movement, access, downtime limits and a tested recovery path before choosing target services.

Containers or event-driven services

Compare container orchestration and serverless choices against traffic patterns, operational capacity and control needs.

Data, analytics or AI

Identify the data sources, processing pattern, model or query requirements, permitted region, security controls and usage limits.

Backup and continuity

Set recovery time and recovery point objectives, retention, restore ownership and proof through a restore rehearsal.

A simpler managed site

Compare a managed Afrisol web plan before commissioning a cloud architecture; cloud infrastructure can add operational work.

Design for fit

Make the important choices visible.

Before implementation, agree the target users and workload, expected traffic, data location, availability, security responsibilities, recovery objectives, integrations and who will operate the service.

  • Build or manage: compare building blocks with managed services against the team’s skills and operating effort.
  • Place data deliberately: select regions and document residency requirements; a global edge network does not mean data stays in one country.
  • Define recovery: choose backup scope, retention, recovery targets and a tested restore process.
  • Keep access accountable: agree account ownership, billing owner, privileged access and handover responsibilities.

Plan the full cost before you commit

Provider estimates help model hypothetical usage. They are planning aids, not an Afrisol quote or final bill. Verify the account’s contract pricing, selected region, taxes, currency, service terms, usage limits and Afrisol delivery or support charges separately.

  • • Service and resource size, region and running hours
  • • Storage class, requests, retrieval, snapshots and backup retention
  • • Network transfer, DNS, load balancing and content delivery
  • • Logs, metrics, security services, software licences and support
  • • Expected growth, peaks, idle periods and commitment terms

A Clear Cloud Project Journey

  1. 01 · Discover

    Describe the Outcome

Bring the workload, users, current environment, constraints and success measures.

  2. 02 · Design

    Agree the Architecture

Document services, region, identity, security, operations and recovery responsibilities.

  3. 03 · Cost

    Review terms and limits

Separate provider usage, licences and Afrisol scope; set budgets or usage limits where supported.

  4. 04 · Deliver

    Implement and Validate

Use agreed milestones, security checks, migration rehearsal, acceptance tests and rollback plan.

  5. 05 · Operate

    Hand Over and Improve

Record ownership, monitoring, support coverage, maintenance, recovery tests and cost reviews.

Catalogue status

Explore reference services; confirm an offer before purchase.

The AWS service catalogue is a planning reference. Supplier account connection alone does not verify resale authority, a current SKU, regional availability, an approved price or working fulfilment. Those details, account ownership, billing, taxes, delivery scope and support terms must appear in an approved offer before checkout. An approved offer and completed checkout are required before service activation.

Review service references

Before Your First Discussion

Useful to Prepare

Application and integration list, approximate users and traffic, data volume and location needs, recovery targets, current cloud account owner, budget range, and the support your team needs.

Keep credentials private

Do not send passwords, MFA codes, recovery codes, private keys, billing secrets or customer data in a public enquiry. Account access should be arranged through an approved, least-privilege process.

Before You Choose: Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an account to compare or select packages?

No. Browse packages and add available offers to your cart as a guest. Sign in or register during checkout to connect the order, billing and service management to your account.

Will my cart remain if my internet disconnects?

Selections already saved by Afrisol remain when you return using the same browser. Keep browser cookies enabled. A selection made while offline must finish saving after you reconnect; check your cart before leaving.

What is included in the price?

Each package lists resources, location, software, management, protection, support, initial charges, billing cycle and renewal. Optional extras are itemised during configuration. Review the current total and terms before ordering.

Can I start small and upgrade later?

Choose the smallest published package that meets your needs. Upgrades depend on the selected platform, available capacity and migration requirements; the package's full details state the applicable terms.

How is my service delivered?

After you accept the order and payment is reconciled, the service follows its stated delivery process. My Afrisol holds your order, invoice, delivery progress and ongoing management.
